Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a Manager of Clinical Engineering Services to join the Team. This role will be a full-time dayshift from Monday - Friday. Relocation assistance and Management incentive plan (MIP) available.

The Manager of Clinical Engineering Services manages team members through daily supervision, team member relations, and staff development for assigned facility Clinical Engineering departments. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of service delivery to internal customers throughout Inova Health System. Develops, maintains, and oversees adherence to standards and procedures applicable to regulatory compliance.

Manager of Clinical Engineering Services Job Responsibilities:



  • Represents Clinical Engineering at interdepartmental meetings such as safety committees, quality improvement initiatives, construction projects, and hospital staff meetings.
  • Takes ownership of staff safety to include, but not be limited to, Inova Health System standards, OSHA, FDA, The Joint Commission, and local/state governments.
  • Provides technical expertise, guidance, and training to customers, staff, and management team.
  • Develops and monitors standards, performance, and quality of service.
  • Ensures a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Develops and implements quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees Clinical Engineering to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.


Manager of Clinical Engineering Services Additional Requirements:



  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Day shift
  • Education: Associate's degree in Electronics or equivalent program and Business or equivalent years Biomedical Engineering experience
  • Experience: 7 years of Biomedical Engineering experience or electrical mechanical experience in a hospital setting; 5 years of progressive management experience


Manager of Clinical Engineering Services Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience working in a large health system preferred.
  • Previous experience working as a people leader preferred.
