Description

  • Implement good housekeeping standards (Such as 5S program and housekeeping audits) and corrective actions to eliminate hazardous and unsafe conditions in the plant
  • Ensures Environmental Compliance for Utilities.
  • Ensure that accurate month-end utility readings are taken and complete end of the month report of utility usage factors for KNA plants.
  • Develop work plans for scheduled shutdowns to minimize plant downtime.
  • Follow through utilities operations daily to make sure that the assignments given to the Utility Operators are complete.
  • Challenge the process focusing on continuous improvements and cost savings
  • Coordinate with maintenance to keep preventive maintenance on all equipment up to date
  • Implement cost down projects.
  • Follow and promote company Safety Policies
  • Inspect, report and facilitate repair to unit equipment
  • During abnormal equipment operation, advise the Director of Site Utilities on whether or not immediate shutdown of equipment is required
  • Make suggestions and recommendations to Director of Site Utilities on ideas to improve plant processes
  • Ensure Utilities Technicians are properly trained to operate the process equipment per procedures.
  • Inform utilities operators and lead tech of new projects and MOC's implemented in the plant and receive feedback for process improvement
  • Ensure that process and equipment log sheets, check sheets, and other paperwork are thoroughly completed in a timely manner
  • Hold Safety Meetings routinely with Utilities operators
  • Improve existing standard operating procedures and write new procedures when assigned.
  • Inspect the operating conditions of the plant and review trends to ensure that operating targets are maintained
  • Interact with vendors and follow up across KNA units to ensure proper water treatment is provided
  • Manage chemical inventory of raw materials for water treatment program
  • Participate in PSSR's performed in Utilities and coordinate implementation of MOC's and Capital projects as needed for Utilities plant

Education
High School (required)
Experience
6 - 8 years: Chemical plant or similar shift manufacturing operation. (required)
