Supreme Rice is looking for forklift operators at our Mermentau location. Forklift operators are responsible for the equipment they operate, the inventory, and the safety of themselves, their co-workers and pedestrians in their immediate work area. Duties include loading and unloading shipping containers, trailers, shelves or racks containing inventory. Inventory handled include pallets containing sacked rice, rice totes and other types of stock, inventory and materials. Duties: Attending forklift training and certification refresher courses Inspecting equipment before each use and completing form prior to use Shrink-wrapping material and pallets in preparation for shipping Constant awareness of surroundings when operating a forklift for safety Operating equipment safely at all times Reading orders and stock labels and locating inventory promptly Using basic math skills Supreme Rice headquarters is located in Crowley, Louisiana - the heart of the Southwest Louisiana Rice Region.
