Description Scope of Work: Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines in the shop as assigned by the Service Manager. Primary Job Responsibilities: Must be able to perform shop overhauls Must be able to perform small generator repair Must be able to perform standby generator repair Must be able to perform generator troubleshooting Understands compressions and can do repairs Understands pneumatic engine controls Understands all phases of gas engine ignition systems Must understand general engine machine work fundamentals Stay informed of the changes in various models of equipment Through evaluation must be able to suggest/recommend any other required repairs Promote good welfare among the company and its' divisions Perform other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications: Must have 3 year(s) previous experience Must have G.E.D. High School Diploma, prefer applied certification (s) job description Certification in VHP technology and VGF technology preferred Must meet all of the qualifications of a Service Tech Class B Must have basic electrical knowledge Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company Must conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the company Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier standard if driving company vehicle. Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation.
