How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will lead and contribute to various critical areas including event and tradeshow planning, customer communication and education (email campaigns, webinars, etc.) and sales channel marketing support. This customer-facing position requires a high level of professionalism and willingness to handle numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Independently and proactively completes all facets associated with tradeshows, roadshows and other customer events, including strategic planning; tactical execution and coordination of logistics; vendor procurement and management; contract negotiation; detailed budgeting and forecasting; coordination of event materials; post-event reporting; and other services as required.
  • Work closely with channel partners to provide displays, literature, etc. for regional events.
  • Organize and lead large customer events and trade shows.
  • Manage virtual customer webinars, including scheduling, planning, presenter coordination, event execution and performance tracking.
  • Organizes and maintains the marketing events calendar.
  • Facilitates efforts to brainstorm, research, design, order, and maintain inventory of promotional assets including equipment, merchandise, collateral, etc.
  • Other marketing activities as required

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Experience with Teams Webinar, email and digital marketing platforms

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 2+ years' experience with event planning, trade shows or corporate events is preferred.
  • Detail oriented, with solid organizational, problem solving, and administrative skills.
  • High energy and strong desire to continue to learn, grow and contribute
  • Extensive project management, organization and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and highly productive with little hands-on supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a large, matrix organization

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field required.

Travel & Working Environment

  • Onsite office environment
  • Hybrid work arrangement possible after 90 days
  • Up to 25% travel
