This is a seasonal position (June 8, 2025-August 2, 2025) with opportunities for extended employment.

The Camp Secretary provides administrative support for the Camp Director, and performs receptionist duties for Army Lake Camp.

About the role:



  • Prepares correspondence, maintains files (electronic and paper), processes incoming and outgoing mail, answers phones, prepares thank-you notes to donors, maintains office inventory and orders office supplies, etc.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for visitors in the building; directs individuals to appropriate party as necessary. In the absence of the Camp Director and Guest Services & Marketing Manager, provides general information and answers questions about Camp.
  • Provides high quality customer services and hospitality, providing for the customers' needs both prior to and during their stay at Army Lake Camp.
  • Answers customer questions and concerns pertaining to reservations and reservation dates when the Guest Services and Marketing Manager is not available.
  • Prepares invoices/bills for Camp Director to review and sign, and forwards to Divisional Headquarters for processing.
  • Provides administrator support for Ultra Camp registration software.
  • Gathers and submits statistics for Camp programs to Divisional Headquarters each month.
  • Compiles reports and checklists needed to ensure compliance with the American Camping Association accreditation requirements.
  • Oversees and coordinates Army Lake Camp's participation in the Summer Food Service Program, including compiling and submitting reports and documentation required.
  • Assists with the processing of summer staff applications and hiring paperwork.


Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two years administrative support experience.

Certifications: CPR, AED, and First Aid. Must have or complete training within 90 days.
