Mechanics Bank is currently searching for an SEC and Regulatory Reporting Manager. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Walnut Creek, CA office.

The SEC and Regulatory Reporting Manager will assist with the planning, preparation, and filing of timely and accurate financial reports while maintaining appropriate documentation and an effective internal control environment. Qualified candidates will regularly interact with personnel in various corporate functions, legal entities, and business units as well as the external auditors.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of all financial reporting with the SEC, Federal Reserve, FFIEC and FDIC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and other SEC filings and the Call Report.

  • Prepare financial statements and disclosures with clear and well-organized documentation including detailed financial calculations and analyses.

  • Coordinate the review of filings with external auditors, legal counsel, accounting staff and executive management.

  • Assist in researching accounting and reporting matters and assessing the impact to the financial statements.

  • Assist with establishment, documentation, and maintenance of the banks accounting policies and procedures.

Who you are:

  • Required 3 SEC reporting experience

  • Required 3 Leadership experience

  • CPA highly preferred

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree highly preferred

  • Experience preparing financial statements and related disclosures, researching accounting literature, and analyzing and concluding on accounting and disclosure matters.

  • Experience with the following systems is preferred: Peoplesoft/Fusion, Workiva, FedReporterSmartCall.

  • Experience with XBRL tagging.

Salary: $108,000-170,000 annually

AIP/Bonus: up to 15%

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
