Inside Sales Manager

Brad Foote Gear Works, Inc. is adding an Inside Sales Manager to the team in Cicero, IL. In this role, the candidate will provide oversight and management of the sales support function. This position will serve as the main point of contact for major OEM customers and as the interface between our technical experts and all customers. This role provides first-level management of a support staff, overseeing their activities to assure that the company and customers are provided the best sales support and expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)

Estimates:



  • Manage and actively work with the Estimating staff in developing quotations for new projects.
  • Ensure scope is clearly defined so competitive proposals can be generated.
  • Initiate and support Estimating throughout the quotation process by functioning as the liaison between the customer or assigned sales person and Brad Foote.
  • Provide sales "intelligence" to ensure understanding of costs, profitability, and probability of success in winning of all projects quoted.
  • Oversee the utilization and operation of the Sales CRM (Sales Force) tool throughout the process.
  • Participate in client meetings to clarify and/or negotiate the technical scope including coordinating or preparing technical presentations
  • Maintain Customer relationships, specifically with OEMs, through regular contact and follow up reporting to ensure customer satisfaction.


Technical Interface:



  • Coordinates and directs the preparation and presentation of technical proposals to customers
  • Provides leadership and technical guidance to both the internal staff and the customer to ensure full understanding of how Brad Foote will best meet the customer's needs.
  • Works with Engineering in the development and implementation of technical customer solutions and removes barriers to customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures we respond to technical queries from customers and internal staff


General Management/Leadership:



  • Manages the inside sales team
  • Helps set and track sales targets for the team
  • Manages the independent sales representatives
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Monitor sales metrics and manages the sales administration process
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Follows and models all safety related policies
  • Performs additional requests as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant experiences is desired
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in sales of power transmission related manufactured products and/or heavy fabrications is desired
  • 2+ years successfully leading and managing a multi-disciplined group
  • Competence in MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals
  • Proactive and result oriented approach with strategic and analytical skills
  • Must have demonstrated ability to communicate, influence, and build relationships at all levels in and out of the organization
  • Experience in consultative sales techniques and account planning is a plus
  • A clear track record for consistently meeting or exceeding goals
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to multi-task and manage change with shifting priorities
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
