Horizon is a home care and hospice provider built on a foundation of care that celebrates the human spirit and the desire This position is responsible for all Accounts Payable functions, including processing all invoices received and reconciling A/P detail listing to the general ledger. Additionally, this position is responsible foraccounting functions for interfaces and various journal entries, as well as applying payment to patient accounts.Also responsible for preparing various accounting work papers and reconciling accounts to the Agency's general ledger. As an Accounts Payable Specialist you will: Processes all invoices received for Accounts Payable, including obtaining necessary approvals, coding and entering into Accounts Payable module. Solicit ACH payment authorization from vendors currently not paid via ACH. Maintains Accounts Payable aging and all invoice files in accordance with retention policies. Process ACH payments and upload the payment file to the banks website as appropriate. Prepares outstanding checks listing. Maintain necessary filing.
