Job Summary

Perform various clerical dutiesin order tosupport QC functions.

Primary Duties

  • Inspect the quality, quantity and weight of incoming material using various methods and equipment
  • Log and document inspections as well as rejections
  • Placerejected product into designated reject locations
  • Follow through on rejections using main-frame computer
  • Use radio frequency hand held scanner
  • Using various QC measuring and testing devices
  • Communicating via two-way radio
  • Investigate quality issues throughout the warehouse
  • Operate motorized industrial equipment
  • Participate in department meetings and projects
  • Operate within standard operating procedures
  • Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area
  • Timely and regular attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to learn to operate and pass the motorized industrial equipment tests and obtain license
  • Computer experience a plus
  • Familiarity of company product lines a plus
  • Will be required to cross train to perform other functions within the quality department.
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; bend; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach, push, pull and lift with hands and arms.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
