Jefferson Health is seeking a dynamic, board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join our team as an Associate Program Director (APD) of our ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program.

The APD will play a vital role in shaping the academic and clinical development of our residents, advancing educational innovation, and supporting the Program Director in daily operations and strategic planning.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the residency curriculum
  • Serve as a core faculty member and mentor to emergency medicine residents
  • Lead and support educational initiatives, including simulation, didactics, and scholarly activity
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of residents
  • Foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion in training
  • Engage in clinical emergency medicine at one or more Jefferson Health hospitals

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine
  • Prior academic or teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey
