Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst will play a crucial role in evaluating and optimizing financial performance. Their primary responsibility is to analyze costs associated with data center operations, and managed services. We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Cost Analyst to join our financial operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial analysis within the data center, managed services, or service integration sectors. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making, as well as maintaining product cost models to ensure continued relevancy.

While we are open to remote candidates, we prefer individuals who are based near our St. Louis, MO office for occasional in-person collaboration. This hybrid/WFH schedule provides the flexibility to work from home while also being part of our dynamic office environment when needed.

Gather and analyze financial data related to data center operations, managed services, and integration projects to identify cost trends and areas for improvement. This data will be incorporated into the product cost models and used to inform commercial structures, associated pricing, and financial workflows.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for new and existing services, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Create and manage budgets, monitor actual expenses against forecasts, and investigate variances to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including cost analysis, budget forecasts, and financial performance metrics, to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct audits of financial processes and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Perform market research to support business planning and identify potential risks and opportunities within the industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the data center, managed services, or service integrator industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial analysis software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with data center operations, managed services, and service integration processes.
• Additional certifications such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) are advantageous.

Pay Range $82.114.99 - $123,172.49
