Job Description:

Amcor Rigid Packaging USA, LLC. SAP BW Senior Analyst in Manchester, Michigan with Telecommute Option. Support Amcor's SAP Business Warehouse (BW) processes by identifying the company's business requirements, analyzing existing computer systems related to the company's SAP BW/BI platform, and coordinating with information technology personnel to manipulate the SAP software, other third-party applications, and computer systems, to perform customizations as necessary to meet Amcor's business and technical needs. Also responsible for performing end-user support. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and support of reporting solutions using SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW), BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI), SLT and Data Services (BODS).
  • Architect solutions from a technical standpoint to ensure flexible and robust reporting solutions.
  • Work from the functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects (install standard objects, enhance existing objects, and create custom objects) like info objects, business content, info sources, data targets, transfer rules, update rules, BEx queries etc.
  • Perform SAP BW data modeling and BEx query design.
  • Document test plans. Execute unit testing of development objects and reports. Work with business resources to complete integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Analyze, communicate, and work with business/technical teams to resolve report development issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues. Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical information, etc.).

This position is located at Amcor's Manchester, Michigan worksite, with the option to telecommute from anywhere in the United States. Travel will be required 4-6 times per year to Amcor's Manchester, Michigan and Ann Arbor, Michigan worksites for onsite meetings. May also require travel up to 15% to other Amcor worksites in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's experience as an SAP BW Analyst, Enterprise Application Design Engineer, Application Programmer, Consultant, or a closely related information technology occupation. Experience to include:

  • 5 years working with SAP BW including both back-end cube development and front-end reporting in Business Objects.
  • 5 years performing SAP BW data modeling, including design and build info providers.
  • 5 years performing SAP data acquisition and data transformation development, including the development of generic extraction programs and interfaces.
  • 5 years performing SAP BW/BI Authorization Analysis.
  • 5 years developing BW BEx queries for front-end ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • 5 years using the Business Objects suite of tools, WEBI, and Analysis for Office/OLAP.
  • 5 years monitoring, analyzing, tuning, and optimizing SAP BW system, including the use of BI scheduling tools.
  • 5 years contributing to multiple end-to-end SAP BI implementation/upgrade projects.
  • 5 years performing ABAP development.
  • 2 years working with SAP BW-Integrated Planning.
