DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Legal Division Supervisor (LDS) is responsible for supervising, training, and directing the work of attorneys who serve as special agents and adjudicate specific types of cases, and who also provide legal assistance to the administrative law judges. The LDS also serves as the key liaison between the Office of Administrative Law Judge and other Public Utility Commission bureaus, outside agencies, and the public. The LDS is afforded the opportunity to serve on a myriad of internal and external working groups and committees. In addition, the LDS helps plan, produce, revise, and update training and reference materials used by OALJ's judges and attorneys. OALJ serves the public interest by ensuring that justice is fairly and efficiently administered in each and every case. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: Part-time work from home (telework) may be a potential feature of this position. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
- To be eligible to participate in telework, the employee's alternate (telework) worksite must meet the following requirements:
- Within a reasonable travel distance of Harrisburg; and
- Within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Seven years of professional legal experience, and graduation from an accredited school of law; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Post Employment Requirement:
- Applicants must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and must maintain membership on a continuous basis during employment.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience in governmental regulatory law and public utilities.
- You must have possession of a certificate of admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, or be eligible for a certificate of admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
- You must have possession of a certificate of admission to the bar of the highest court of another state, with preparatory steps taken to become a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
- You must have at least 5 years' experience with litigation in administrative and/or regulatory cases (preferably in PUC jurisdictional matters).
- You must have at least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
