Job Overview:

The Senior Buyer will be a subject matter expert for the Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle. They will provide guidance and take the lead on issues with secondary system such as GPO, GHX, 3rd Party Freight, Strata Jazz and Contraxx. They will provide direction on how to operationalize contracts to the correct purchase order and invoicing format to ensure successful P2P cycle.

Perform and lead continuous process improvement with a focus on root cause of invoice discrepancies and other work processes within the P2P cycle. Independently lead projects adhering to timelines, deadlines and goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years' purchasing with LEAN or other process improvement experience.
  • Demonstrate level of expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to perform mathematical formulas, balance and reconcile figures, possess good communication (written and verbal) skills.

Preferred:

  • Strongly prefer experience within hospitals with PeopleSoft a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Subject-Matter Expert PeopleSoft Supply Chain procure to pay (end to end) process, collaborate with the PeopleSoft IT team, supply chain and site users.
  • Project/Initiative execution and management; taking the lead to completing on time and within the parameters. This includes the system testing, working with SC Education on training aids and coordinating resources from other teams.
  • Guiding and taking the lead on secondary programs including but not limited to GHX, GPO, Freight, Strata Jazz, Contraxx, and PeopleSoft GovernanceLead P2P activities on operationalizing contracts with the correct purchase order format and billing set-up.Provides end-user support across the network as the Procure to Pay Lead.
  • Balances workload while adhering to timelines and deadlines and produce summarizes of the workflow reviews and recommendation.
  • Process and maintain workload within departmental performance standards.
  • Establish and maintain rapport through effective communication and timely follow-up with customers, coworkers, management, and outside agencies/vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
