Overview:

Sentara Health - a nationally recognized, award-winning, nonprofit integrated healthcare system - is seeking a highly qualified Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its Hand Surgery/ Orthopedic team. Become part of a dynamic multispecialty organization with over 1,200 providers that is committed to improving health every day.

Join a well-functioning Orthopedic team consisting of: 4 orthopedic hand surgeons and 2 physician assistants.

Position Highlights:

  • Location: Chesapeake and Norfolk, VA
  • Schedule: M-F, 7:30a-4p
  • Work directly with 1 Hand Surgeon
  • Duties include: Outpatient clinic, ED consults, and OR/Surgery (if interested)
  • Call responsibilities 1 day a week, 1 weekend per month
  • Strong built-in referral base
  • Digital x-ray and PACS at the practice; MRI on hospital campus
  • Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Rehab Services available

Sentara Hand Surgery Specialists operate from a state-of-the-art facility located on the campus of Sentara Leigh Hospital-a 250-bed medical center that includes a 48-bed center dedicated exclusively to orthopedic care. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a healthcare system focused on quality, transformation, and innovation. Requirements for this position include Virginia-licensed Physician Assistant, and a current, unrestricted DEA license. Candidates must have the ability to provide quality, comprehensive care in a compassionate manner.
