Purpose We seek a motivated and highly organized Research Technologist III to manage and support the ongoing projects within the collaborative laboratories of Dr. Lu Han in the Department of Pediatrics and Dr. Ziqing Liu in the Department of Physiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. This position involves fulfilling a lab management role and performing key experimental tasks to support cardiovascular research focused on regenerative strategies to better understand human heart disease. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily lab operations, including maintaining equipment, managing mouse colonies, and collaborating with team members to carry out molecular and histology experiments. Primary Functions
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Experience with animal handling, particularly for genotyping and colony management, is preferred. Experience with molecular biology techniques, histology, and immunohistochemical staining is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of research safety procedures and laboratory best practices. Ability to conduct experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and interpret data. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, and resource management.
