Manager, Accounts Receivable

About the Role
As the AR Manager at Inotiv, you'll play a key leadership role in driving the success of our Accounts Receivable function. You'll lead a team of dedicated professionals, manage day-to-day operations, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
On any given day, you will:

  • Manage the AR team's daily operations, workload distribution, and priority setting

  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members, identifying training opportunities and supporting career growth

  • Provide clear, timely communication across departments and with external partners

  • Lead and participate in team, departmental, and company-wide meetings

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals

  • Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements

  • Maintain up-to-date procedures and ensure adherence across the team

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Oversee AR portfolios, monitor collection efforts, and manage dispute resolution

  • Handle audit requests and support internal and external audit processes

  • Manage month-end AR close activities

  • Take on special projects and assignments as directed by leadership

Qualifications & Skills
We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with accounting software (D365, JD Edwards, Esker, or BillTrust preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite

  • Deep understanding of SOX compliance and related documentation standards

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and identify process efficiencies

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements
This role involves moderate physical activity and may require:

  • Frequent walking, sitting, and/or standing for extended periods

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Reaching, gripping, twisting, and other repetitive hand/finger movements for more than 4 hours per day

Work Environment

  • Standard office setting

  • Moderate noise level

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
