Recruiting Specialist

We are currently seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join our Georgia-Pacific team. This role will focus on the hourly and salary non-exempt hiring needs for designated sites within our Gypsum Building Products business. As part of our leveraged capability, you will work closely with various teams in a coordinator and recruiter capacity, and with other full life-cycle recruiters to support the selection processes for our customers, candidates and hiring supervisors.

Key elements of this position include the primary focus of coordinating the administrative aspects of the selection process by supporting designated business and recruiters, full-life cycle recruiting, developing business acumen and partnerships, driving aggressive sourcing strategies, and delivering results to effectively support the business.

The successful candidate will have flexibility where they live. This position will be remote with travel.

What You Will Do

  • Support in a hybrid role that mainly involves administrative assistance to recruiters, ensuring a smooth candidate selection process. Additionally, grow into and take on full-life cycle recruiting responsibilities.
  • Manages priorities effectively - based on business need and value.
  • Develop an inclusive, brand-worthy candidate experience that attracts top talent, positioning Georgia-Pacific as the employer of choice for our candidates.
  • Develop, articulate, and implement efficient processes to deliver excellent recruitment experience for both internal and external candidates, as well as hiring teams.
  • Gain insights into the business and recruitment practices to pinpoint opportunities for transformation in our technology and processes.
  • Identify gaps and create solutions that support/enable teams to deliver on business objectives.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting internal and external customer needs.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Leverage data driven solutions to support business and advance results.
  • Optimizing risk to the Company by effectively interpreting current policies and practices while identifying opportunities to drive standardization and eliminate waste.
  • Support, participate and host talent events such as hiring events onsite and virtual.

Coordinator Functions

  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers throughout the hiring process, particularly regarding scheduling and post-offer procedures
  • Own and execute all post-offer and pre-hire processes (background checks, documentation, I-9 coordination and facilitation, and other business-specific items)
  • Schedule onsite and virtual interviews, and pre and post interview meetings for the recruitment team.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, reimbursement of candidate travel expenses, and submit associated expenses

Advancing Our Talent Position- Recruiter Functions

  • Own or support full-cycle recruiting across our Gypsum business within the US; focusing on partnering with hiring supervisors to define recruitment and sourcing strategies, assess external/internal candidates against business needs, and apply interviewing techniques to assess for culture fit and knowledge
  • Coach and influence hiring managers while making effective hiring decisions and maintaining a high level of communication
  • Manage the candidate engagement, while providing a positive experience and maintaining responsive communication, ultimately making Georgia-Pacific LLC a preferred employer to our candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Collaboration amongst HR team and business partners to understand the organization's talent position, identify gaps, and build short and long-term recruiting strategies/initiatives
  • Build credibility and trust with the workforce and leaders.
  • Ability to influence others without authority.
  • Desire to understand, develop, apply, and coach employees on our culture of Principle Based Management
  • Apply judgement based on knowledge and discernment.
  • Develop business acumen to understand key drivers of business performance and support delivering results.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • One (1) year or more of administrative assistance or administrative coordinating experience
  • Human Resources or Recruiting related experience

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience supporting a Building Products business.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources
