Warehouse Associate III

The primary role of this position is to perform Inventory, Shipping & Receiving functions and Material handling under limited supervision.

Functions

• Essential functions that may be assigned include:
• Performs all Inventory, Receiving, and Shipping functions as required.
• Ensures documentation and materials necessary to perform the work in assigned work areas are available and maintained.
• Identify risks to material flow and works with supervision to develop mitigations and communicate actions.
• Communicates across business functions, including Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Project Management.
• Maintains work-area metrics. Practices CI concepts in order to improve processes.
• Identifies and reports problems and proposes solutions.
• Always maintains a safe, clean and organized work area. Incorporates 6S methodologies to drive improvements to the workplace.
• Develops product knowledge of those materials used in the manufacturing operation.
• Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Aids other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
• Operates material handling equipment including forklift.
  

REQUIRED

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations such as converting meters to feet and vice versa, calculating square feet, etc.

• Effective time management skills to meet operational needs
• Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Applications and experience with Inventory Management Systems
• Familiarity with 6S and Lean concepts preferred.

Location

Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position.
