Human Resources Coordinator

Overview:

Supports project teams using a wide range of developing human resources skills. Assists in developing, facilitating, and implementing human resource projects and processes. Strong written and interpersonal communication with all levels in the organization. Eager to learn, highly organized and willing to contribute creatively to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development of short-term and long-term human resource strategies for continuous process improvement in collaboration with HR Operations Manager
  • Contributes to development and execution of human resource special projects
  • Conducts new hire orientation on an as-needed basis in collaboration with Talent Acquisition team
  • Coordinates and monitors information entered into the HRIS system
  • Conducts audits of human resources data in the HRIS system to preserve its integrity and accuracy
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and user guides
  • Coordinates and collaborates in initiating automated reports for delivery to end users
  • Processes employee data changes such as status changes (e.g. remote worker, visa status) and/or title changes
  • Processes contractor data changes such as hires, status changes and terminations
  • Assists with verification of employment requests and processing unemployment claims as needed
  • Participates in and contributes to various HR meetings and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team and HR Operations Manager on new hire onboarding process improvement
  • Manages personnel files throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Coordinates and performs exit interviews to gain employee feedback
  • Pulls termination reports and reviews termination trends on a regular basis or as requested in collaboration with team
  • Creates and distributes reporting as needed
  • Coordinates I-9 processing in collaboration with new hires and local admins
  • Assists in tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree
  • Typically with 1 - 3 years of experience
  • Experience in Human Resources in a corporate firm strongly preferred
  • Experience in the use of HRIS systems (Workday) strongly preferred
  • Experience in MS Office Suite preferred
  • Basic knowledge of human resources best practices, policies, procedures and employment law
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
