National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Legal & Regulatory Compliance, for our General Counsel & Company Secretariat. This position is located in our Waltham, MA office, with hybrid working.

Job Purpose

To support implementation and maintenance of compliance risk management framework and processes. To guide US businesses on appropriate levels of governance, reporting, controls testing, and performance metrics for 2nd Line advisory and assurance activities.

Key Accountabilities

* Support development and maintenance of compliance risk management framework, processes, and procedures.
* Aid in the creation and administration of reporting mechanisms, KPIs, and resulting scorecards for effective compliance performance management (aggregation of local, functional, and Business Unit performance).
* Perform independent, risk-based validation/monitoring of compliance controls, as needed.
* Work with 2nd Line assurance / performance teams within the business to support risk-based control testing and obligations management activities.
* Using compliance performance data and information, support the business in developing control remediation plans and sustainable compliance controls.
* Assist the business with performance breakdown reviews and root cause analyses related to compliance performance.
* Contribute to NE certification process through support and tracking of Control Self-Assessments conducted by business control owners.

Qualifications

* Understanding of risks and controls (Audit / SOX experience preferred).
* Understanding of National Grid's regulatory obligations, including those based in laws, regulations, orders, and agreements with applicable regulatory agencies (i.e., FERC, MA DPU, NY PSC, NPCC, OSHA, US DOT, etc.) is preferred.
* At least 5 years' experience in generating performance results reporting and improvement in highly technical field or in multiple, related fields.
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Manage stakeholder relationships by providing trusted advice related to performance management and seeking feedback to continuously improve performance analysis.
* Thorough knowledge of performance management measurement techniques.
* Ability to grasp complex issues and effectively integrate, compile, and analyze information and data.
* Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.
* Facilitation of continuous improvement by contributing to performance breakdown and root cause analysis reviews with business leaders.

Salary

$101k - $120k a year in Waltham, MA.
