Job Description Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our IBP processes in our Shelter Solutions Business Unit. The Director will have high visibility and collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives, forecasting, and supply chain strategies. This leadership role is pivotal in driving efficiency, profitability, and scalability by integrating demand, supply, financials, and operational plans through a unified planning cadence. Key Responsibilities:
- IBP Process Leadership:
- Lead, oversee, and execute the monthly Integrated Business Planning process across the business unit culminating in four distinct reviews: Demand Planning, Supply Planning including Inventory optimization, Financial Planning (Integrated reconciliation of Demand and Supply), and Business acceptance of the Plan.
- Direct management and leadership of the Demand Function and Review utilizing a multitude of tools (Sales Input, Statistical Modeling, Other Forecasting methods including use of market indicators) to coalesce around one 80% confident consensus forecast.
- Collaborate with senior executives to define the IBP strategy and ensure alignment with quarterly and annual business goals. Output of the IBP will be Risks, Opportunities and Actions needed to maximize financial goals.
- Re-envision and improve monthly IBP cycle, ensuring timely and accurate updates to forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Develop and recommend differential time horizon management i.e. Execution window 0-3 months, Planning window 4 - 18 months.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior leaders in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure the integration of all functions.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across departments to optimize business performance and meet key financial and operational targets.
- Forecasting & Scenario Planning:
- Lead the development and refinement of forecasting models, ensuring they reflect current market conditions, customer needs, and inventory levels.
- Implement scenario planning to assess potential business risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Drive the use of advanced analytics and BI tools to enhance decision-making and improve the visibility of business performance including predictive analytics.
- Lead the development and use of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of the IBP process.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Management:
- Champion the continuous improvement of IBP processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.
- Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure the organization's ability to scale as business needs evolve.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the key point of contact for all IBP-related matters, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Present IBP insights, progress, and recommendations to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in business planning, demand management, supply chain, or operations, with at least 5 years in an IBP or leadership role.
- Proven success in leading through influence cross-functional teams and implementing IBP processes at an enterprise level.
- Strong background in demand planning, supply chain management, financial planning, and data analytics.
- Experience operating in a matrixed environment required.
