Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of International Tax, the Tax Senior Associate will become a member of a global tax department responsible for federal, international, and state tax aspects of corporate income tax compliance, planning, and accounting for income taxes for the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance
- Assist with Transfer Pricing documentation and close computations
- Prepare various aspects of the US Federal Income Tax Return:
- International income tax workpapers and foreign tax returns (5471/8858 etc.)
- Federal income tax workpapers (e.g., schedule M calculations) and proforma returns
- State income tax workpapers (e.g., apportionment) and returns
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate tax filings
- Prepare the US Federal and State tax extensions and estimates
- Assist with R&D study documentation
- Prepare/reconcile return to provision ("RTP"), record RTP in provision model; work with finance colleagues to ensure the RTP entries are reflected in the local set of books
- Work to ensure timely filings of statutory financial statements, review foreign income tax returns and ensure timely filings of returns
- Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities
Provision
- Prepare quarterly domestic and foreign calculations to ensure current and deferred tax provisions are properly stated
- Prepare quarterly payable reconciliations and tax account roll-forwards, payments, refunds
- Research foreign statutory income tax rate changes
Planning/Other Projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve NetApp financial and accounting goals
- Researching and monitoring appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations
- Coordinate third-party consultants where necessary
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations related to tax filings
- Assist on technology initiatives and enhance process efficiencies
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with OneSource Suite of Software, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite
- Public accounting and large corporate tax departmentspreferred
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, or LLM) are a plus

Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $103K - $154K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
