Elevate is looking for a Shade Room Clerk to join our work family at Burlington Finishing Plant (formally known as Burlington Industries). Must be willing to work in a non-climate controlled environment and work overtime as needed, Drug testing and background checks are required upon offer of employment.


Primary Job Duties:

Shade cloth using a data color software and visual analysis, calibrating data color, maintain run cards, use color tools QC on the computer for entering work-order information for shading, Using GTex to send shades for shipping, file work-orders once shipped, pull file standards, place lots on hold, keep standards up to date and current, and expedite cloth as needed. This role plays a pivotal role in keeping product moving through the department, and must have a solution-oriented mindset. They also need to have a positive attitude, even when adversity is present. As part of the Shade Room team, you may need to help with other tasks. This role works directly with the Inspection Supervisor, Inspectors & Other Shade Room Personnel to keep production going and maintain a good work environment.


Mandatory Prerequisites:

  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to identify/retain cloth styles
  • Ability to decipher paperwork
  • Ability to submit paperwork to government/other customers
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Must be a team player & lead by example (stay out of gossip, provide positive approach to conflicts, willingness to never stop learning)
  • This role will be responsible for all submittals
  • Ensure good housekeeping of all areas and company premises
  • Successfully complete drug and background screenings
  • Able to walk/stand/sit for duration of shift
  • Color vision with shade discrimination. Pass Munsel 100 Hue test with score of 45 initially and score 30 within 90 days. Adequate near vision to read printed material
  • Annual retesting to maintain color certification
