Overview General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider military weapon systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Cost Estimating Sr Specialist to join either our Saco, ME or Colchester, VT. We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission. The Cost Estimating Sr Specialist: Oversees financial operations for one or more projects, including cost accounting, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounts payable and payroll | Establishes project budgeting and cost control processes using budget tracking tools | Produces and maintains monthly financial statements, work-in-progress reports and general ledgers | Reviews and signs off on final accounts for projects | May maintain local registrations, business and tax licenses Major Position Responsibilities
Develops cost estimates for projects based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools.
Basic Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Associates Degree and 5 -7 years experience OR Equivalent combination of relevent education and/or Experience Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Cost Estimation. Material Requirements Planning. Project Estimation. Requirements Analysis. Spreadsheet advanced. Cost Analysis. Specification Review. Travel Requirements: Less than 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD) $77,140.00 - $143,260.00 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
