We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support PMA-207, the U.S. Navy's Program Office for support and special mission aircraft. This position requires a strong background in systems engineering principles and experience navigating the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring system integration, requirements traceability, and risk management across the aircraft acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.

Duties:



  • Provide technical and systems engineering support across the lifecycle of multiple PMA-207 platforms.
  • Lead or support SETR events, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and others in accordance with NAVAIR systems engineering policies.
  • Coordinate with integrated product teams (IPTs), OEMs, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with DoD acquisition and SE/PM policies.
  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of SE artifacts (e.g., system specifications, interface control documents, risk registers).
  • Support requirements development and traceability, ensuring linkage from top-level capability needs through design and test artifacts.
  • Perform technical risk assessments, interface analyses, and system architecture reviews.
  • Ensure system design and development efforts meet technical, cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals and engineering change proposals (ECPs).


Required Education:



  • Position may require a MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.


ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:



  • A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience may be substituted for a MS or MA degree. These four (4) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of five (5) years to meet the "Experience" requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of nine (9) years of experience.


Required Experience:



  • 5+ years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to naval systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $86,190.40-$155,142.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
