Job Purpose
In this role, the Inventory Control / Material Handling / Logistics Analyst is responsible for ensuring the proper storage and distribution of parts to maintain project development lifecycle activities. Avoid any parts delivery delays, or incorrect parts application to customers that may impact the overall project schedule. Manage the retention and obsolescence of goods stored for the Auto Development Center in accordance with internal and SOX compliance policies.
Key Accountabilities
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Troubleshoot warehouse management issues to ensure that associates are working effectively and maximizing productivity.
- Maintain accuracy of systems required to support Prototype Fabrication and ADC Design / Test groups parts distribution and storage needs to ensure not build or testing delays.
- Minimizes impact of missing parts by proactively conducting cycle counts and alerting all concerned parties of problems.
Team Leader Role
- Manage picking, distribution, replenishment, and storage teams to complete daily inventory management functions and responsibilities.
- Oversee training of new contingent / PSC associates on warehouse systems including SAP Warehouse Management Module.
- Audits of associates work to ensure that all activities are carried out correctly.
Reporting and Counter Measuring
- Identify, immediately countermeasure and report all safety related issues to the Parts Control Group Leader.
- Report on all Parts Control KPI's and communicate critical needs to all members of the Prototype Quality unit.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Supply-Chain-Management (SCM) preferred or equivalent related experience.
- Training in SAP
- 0-2 years of experience regarding all aspects of inventory management and related systems.
- Experience using SAP Warehouse Module.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of automobile construction and parts.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management Module.
- Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain and logistics in an automotive environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks/projects in order of importance.
- Project management capability.
- Willingness to take initiative.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
