Job Summary

The Payroll Manager supports our business objectives by overseeing and supervising the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all required government regulations. The Payroll Manager partners with our outside payroll service provider, as well as our internal HR and IT departments and US-based plant locations to make sure that the payroll needs of the organization are met.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations relating to payroll, including staff and outside payroll service provider. This includes:
  • Ensuring payroll tax payments are made timely and distributed to the correct GL accounts.
  • Ensuring all year-end processing is completed timely including W-2 activity.
  • Processing stock payments and associated tax information.
  • Assisting in requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Reviewing reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any corrective actions needed.
  • Work closely with HR and IT to help improve payroll processes and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of payroll experience, to include:
    • Working with Kronos, including system administration & set-up.
    • Payroll Taxes, including quarter & year-end reporting.
    • Supervising a team of payroll staff as well as an outsourced payroll service provider.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of the ADP Global View Payroll application.
  • Project/vendor management skills, to help ensure flow of communication between all organizations that contribute to the company's payroll function.
  • Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level or accuracy.
  • Must have strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills necessary.

Physical Demands

Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office environment.
