About the Role

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. This role involves responding to basic service requests, assisting in apartment make-readies, maintaining the exterior of the property, and ensuring clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times. The Maintenance Technician I will also be responsible for trash removal, light cleaning, and maintaining the property's flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas. This position requires effective communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.

What You'll Do

Daily Maintenance

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks and respond to service requests.
  • Assist in apartment make-readies.

Property Maintenance

  • Maintain property exterior and common areas.
  • Pick up trash and ensure clean and acceptable curb appeal.
  • Use power blower and pressure washer for cleaning.
  • Maintain flowerbeds, plants, grass areas, and pool.

Communication and Reporting

  • Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Report issues and assist with posting notices.

Safety and Compliance

  • Follow safety practices and participate in training.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.

What You'll Need

Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with power tools and maintenance equipment.

Estimated Rate of Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:

* Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price. Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
