Overview
The Junior Systems Analyst supports the analysis, design, and maintenance of business systems and applications. This entry-level role works closely with technical teams to gather requirements, document processes, and assist in delivering effective technology solutions that meet business needs. Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements from users and stakeholders.
- Help evaluate current systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop process flow diagrams, use cases, and documentation for system changes.
- Participate in testing activities including test planning, execution, and logging results.
- Collaborate with other department staff during the development and implementation of solutions.
- Assist in preparing training materials, user guides, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and escalate user-reported system issues appropriately.
- Learn and apply best practices in systems analysis, data management, and project methodologies.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or IT project roles.
- Basic understanding of databases, software development life cycle (SDLC), and systems concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Exposure to project tools and data querying (e.g., SQL).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Scrum, or CBAP entry-level).
