Overview

The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems that support business operations and improve efficiency. This position serves as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, identifying system improvements, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions.

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather, document, and analyze functional and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for increased performance, usability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop detailed specifications, workflows, use cases, and data models.
  • Facilitate communication with end users during system design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking.
  • Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis for new projects.
  • Assist with the configuration and integration of software systems and third-party tools.
  • Create and maintain user documentation, training materials, and technical guides.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain system health and stability.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or IT project roles.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile and/or waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with business process modeling and requirements documentation.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as SQL, Excel, Visio, and requirements management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP, RDMS, or enterprise applications (e.g., JAMIS, SQL Server, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of data integration, APIs, and database concepts.
  • Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or Agile/Scrum certifications).
