Scope of Role

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Intern performs the administrative EH&S processes at the Florence site. This position is located onsite in Florence, KY and reports to the EH&S Specialist.



Responsibilities

    Assist in conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with the EH&S team to develop and update safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Support the planning and execution of safety training sessions for staff and students.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits and Job Safety Analyses.
  • Assist other departments with document filing, scanning, auditing, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Current college student preferred. High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Entry level position. Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Good verbal/written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (Process Safety Management).
  • Willing to work with hazardous and/or flammable chemicals with PPE.
  • Willing and able to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Detail oriented and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation: $24.00/hour

Duration: Temporary. Relocation not provided.
