This is the reasonably anticipated pay or pay range for this position currently: 145,000-173,600

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Manager to join our SAP Operations Team within HP Hood. This individual will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Financial (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes across our network of 12 processing plants and corporate offices. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep technical expertise in FICO-particularly in cost accounting and product costing within the dairy industry.

Essential Duties Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA FICO modules in alignment with the company's financial and controlling requirements supporting operations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between finance/accounting teams and the SAP technical teams.
  • Manage a team of SAP FICO consultants/team members and collaborate with cross-functional workstreams (e.g., SD, MM, PP, PM,EWM) to ensure integration and data consistency.
  • Implement cost accounting models specific to dairy operations, including raw milk valuation, processing cost allocation, and by-product costing.
  • Drive the development of business process improvements, financial reporting, cost center accounting, product costing, and asset accounting
  • Support integration with legacy systems, cloud applications, and third-party financial systems.
  • Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation activities related to finance and controlling.
  • Support end-user training, change management, and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
  • Collaborate with IT, business leaders, and external implementation partners to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry-specific accounting standards.
  • Continue personal professional development in the areas of business, leadership, project management, SAP and other relevant information technology tools. Continue to expand knowledge of the company's business with a focus on understanding the impact the business processes have on internal operations. Cross-train on business software applications used at the company, with an emphasis on maintaining knowledge of SAP S/4HANA ERP and any successor software.
  • Provide day-to-day production support and continuous improvement post go-live.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred; CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience, including at least 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Strong experience in dairy industry cost accounting, including product costing and yield analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with cost accounting models tailored to dairy or food & beverage manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with raw material yield management and process manufacturing variances.
  • Previous involvement in S/4HANA Treasury solutions.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery practices

Ideal candidate must have excellent documentation skills, presentation skills and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Creative and analytical. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Can do attitude.
  • Ability to react under pressure to any given situation that may arise, in a professional manner and with positive results, in support of a multi-location, 7 X 24 environment.
  • Ability to be the liaison between technology and the business.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited direction, to achieve expected results.
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, to include MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Excellent project management skills.
