Your Responsibilities as an Entry-level Environmental Scientist : * Work closely with other staff and project managers to support field data collection and reporting. * Conduct fieldwork to collect soil, water, air, and other environmental samples. * Perform stormwater inspections and stormwater sampling activities. * Maintain field equipment used for sampling and monitoring. * Follow established protocols to collect accurate and reliable data. * Record and manage data from field samples and environmental monitoring. * Prepare and maintain detailed field notes and photo logs. * Conduct regular monitoring of environmental conditions at various sites. * Tabulate chemical, stratigraphic, and other data to produce various representations, including tables, figures, and time-series graphs. * Conduct evaluations of groundwater data, including trend analyses, intra-well comparisons, and inter-well comparisons. * Support field subsurface investigations and groundwater monitoring events. * Conduct field logging and oversight of drilling subcontractors, including bedrock drilling and well construction. * Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support variety of projects. * Flexibility around travelling to support projects across the Division that can include overnight stays and long field days. * Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. * Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors immediately. Why you'll love working for us: * Competitive pay, full benefits package, flexible work environment * Work in a strong Environmental services group under the direction of seasoned Technical Professionals and Project Managers * Encouragement to grow and diversify professionally * Recognition/visibility of your contributions * Company-subsidized medical and dental plans and vision plan * Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability * Paid Time Off and Holidays, 401k match, tuition assistance, and more * Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects * Performance-based bonuses or other incentives * Working with the best and brightest in the industry * 1,500+ employee national firm with 50+ locations across the US What we're looking for: * 0-2 years of experience that includes conducting environmental sampling, stormwater compliance inspections and sampling, subsurface investigations, and tabulating and presenting data. * BS in Environmental Science, Geology or closely aligned field including completion of a field courses of study * Valid driver's license. * Experience or willingness to learn site investigation methods, groundwater sampling techniques, and stormwater assessments with technical mentorship for experienced staff. * Experience or willingness to learn stratigraphic logging using various drilling methods potentially including hollow-stem auger, direct-push, air rotary, and rock coring. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn a variety of technical software packages. * Ability to participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to petroleum or other releases.
