Lane also specializes in tunnels, metro and railway systems, as well as airports and water and wastewater treatment plants Job Title: Administration, Financial and Control Manager, Tunneling (MULTIPLE POSITIONS) Job Duties: Oversee day to day administrative, finance and cost control (AFC) functions for large-scale tunneling projects. Support the Project Manager or Project Director in strategic business decisions. Manage the Administrative, Financial and Control functions of the business unit(s) including accounts, HR, General Services, IT, and Cost Control. Ensure accounting in accordance with IAS/ US GAAP and company standards. Prepare along with the operations manager the budgets twice a year. Review and analyze project revenue and cost to ensure performance in accordance with projections. Provide monthly reporting to the Area Controller and Project Manager. Assist operations management in analyzing project actual results compared to budget and forecast. Provide operations management with project results and cash flow information. Ensure the systems and processes adopted by the business unit are in line with company procedures. Assist operations management in updating cash flow forecasts and monitoring budget to actual cash flow at the project level. Recommend policies and procedures relating to financial and business practices of the company. Monitor the financial operations of assigned area to ensure compliance with budgets. Support contracts manager in preparing claims for extra work, delay or damages incurred. Manage subcontractors in cooperation with corporate legal department. Review the accuracy of monthly payment applications and work change orders. Requires: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or closely related field and two (2) years of experience as Administration, Finance and Control Manager, Finance Manager or similar supervisory occupation. Alternatively, employer will also accept a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Economics or closely related field, plus five (5) years of progressive experience as Administration, Finance and Control Manager, Finance Manager or similar supervisory occupation. All required experience must have included supervisory experience; insurance/payroll and budgeting experience; ERP experience; experience with accounting, financial management and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and IFRS principles; tax and audit experience with large-scale construction projects; heavy construction experience, including tunneling projects with budgets in excess of $300 million, including contracts management and subcontractor management Job Site: Charlotte, NC. Travel: 5 to 10 percent of time to project sites around the U.S. Position is for roving employee who will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. according to business need.
