Overview

CAES by Honeywell Mission Systems is seeking a Materials Planning Assistant IV. In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for creating packing slips for material going to outside shops, moving material to and from shipping/receiving, tracking production orders on the floor, and communicating status to other planners. This role is critical to supporting the production floor with the materials they need to ensure assemblies can be made and ensure that need dates are met to release production orders.


Responsibilities

  • Work under direction of Area Planners, Area Manager and Planning Manager
  • Complete various planning and inventory transactions
  • Create packing slips for material going to outside shops and move material to and from shipping/receiving
  • Track production orders on floor and communicate status to other planners.
  • Interface with buyers and planners for minor problem resolution (i.e. expediting orders, correspondence follow-up).
  • Compile various reports, special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Communicate material availability to procurement and ensure that need dates are met to release production orders
  • Ensure the generation of pick lists and other manufacturing documents as required
  • Supporting planners with data input, router creation or expediting as requested.
  • Performs daily functions related to sorting, counting, packaging, and labeling of materials per requirements
  • Support stockroom materials request by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, and issuing to kits and/or engineering
  • Coordinate with shipping for the finished goods shipments
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices
  • Must be detail oriented during all tasks to maintain accurate inventory/records.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4-6 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Material Handling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Data entry skills
  • Process improvement mindset
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • Previous stock or inventory experience
  • Planning experience
  • Intermediate experience in Excel

Compensation Range: Materials Planning Assistant IV: $24.60/hr. - $35.70/hr. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and preferred experience of the successful candidate.
