JOB PURPOSE: The Sr. Project Officer will serve as cost lead for business development activities and provide division-level financial analysis for Migrant Service's portfolio of awards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for a limited portfolio of awards and subawards, providing guidance to regarding funder regulations on contracts and cooperative agreements; ensuring financial allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs; and providing oversight and guidance to project teams regarding financial management They will deliver critical data insights, champion business process optimization, and provide strategic support for key initiatives, as part of the Migrant Services Administration team. They will support the Migrant Services Administration team to facilitate the continued evolution of data-driven operational strategy and management. They will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive the success of the growing division. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree required in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management or 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE: * Knowledge of 2 CFR 200 and in-depth experience with FAR and HHS guidelines preferred. * An analytical problem solver comfortable tackling ambiguous, sophisticated opportunities and delivering a logical action plan. * Demonstrated financial and project management skills, with ability to use data to tell a compelling story. * Project/Program Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc.) preferred * Proven success building and scaling cross-functional project and financial management solutions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite and ability to learn other financial systems/software. * Experience with Smartsheet, Tableau, and other Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools helpful. * Team-focused and collegial with the ability to interact with diverse colleagues and facilitate strong working relationships; adept at working closely with others over geographical distance. * Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; diplomacy in communicating with broad and diverse audiences. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
