Who we are looking for: The HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) Specialist is responsible for determining that HMDA is accurately captured in the system of record as well as the system used for the annual submission. This will include periodically reviewing the data and working collaboratively with Operations to correct errors noted. What you'll do: * Ensure data is imported into the HMDA reporting system in a timely manner. * Perform monthly audits of a sample of closed and non-closed loans to determine the accuracy of information reported. * Ensure that HMDA reporting system updates are implemented timely. * Participate as a project team member on projects that involve HMDA data. * Comply/conform to all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending. * Submit the HMDA data to the government within the required annual submission timeframe. * Review mortgage loans and process documents in an accurate and timely manner to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, as well as compliance with Federal and State regulations. * This includes document analysis, accurate data input, and updates to the loan system. * Review loans and take necessary actions to ensure compliance with HMDA requirements. * Completes various HMDA functions, including review of file notes, credit score, DTI, borrower's age, Canceled loans, HMDA Action Taken and Date, and ensures loans are compliant with ECOA requirements. * Effectively manages multiple daily demands and competing priorities. * Maintains a working knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics. * Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly internally specified goals and requirements are met. * Meet deadlines and quality standards. * Other duties as needed or assigned by the Fair and Responsible Banking Manager What you'll need to be successful: * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in mortgage compliance * Self-motivated team player * Familiarity with the mortgage process and documents required * Ability to adapt well to change * Exceptional computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CFPB's E-Regulations * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrate responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills * Detail-oriented and ability to manage competing priorities * Ability to take direction and comprehend training * Working knowledge of Regulation B - Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation C - Home Mortgage Disclosure Act What we offer: Because we recognize and reward hard work, we offer a competitive salary, a full benefits package, and the potential for a performance-based bonus.
