JOB SUMMARY: The Tableau Admin/Developer will be working as part of a highly technical team providing administration and operational support for multiple data management and BI analytics technology platforms. Is a self-driven technical resource accountable for providing and implementing end-to-end solutions for BI products. Must be able to suggest hardware requirements and work with network, architects and storage teams.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server, ensuring its optimal performance.
2. Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
3. Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Deploy reports/dashboards to higher environments.
5. Monitor server performance, usage, and troubleshooting issues.
6. Plan and execute upgrades and patches for Tableau Server.
7. Ensure regular backups and develop recovery plans.
8. Maintain documentation for server configurations, processes, and procedures.
9. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
10. Connect Tableau to various data sources for real-time or batch data.
11. Analyze and interpret complex data to create visualizations that effectively showcase insights.
12. Optimize user experience through interactive dashboards and reports.
13. Work with stakeholders to understand and prioritize functional requirements.
14. Perform testing and data quality checks for Tableau dashboards.
15. Work with Tableau support on issues and root cause analysis.
16. Work with Tableau extensions and license management.
17. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
18. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
19. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.
20. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.
