Responsible for the overall operations, including but not limited to budgeting (operations and capital), staffing and scheduling, regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, fiscal performance, and provider/employee relations of all of the hospital based clinics affiliated with WVU Medicine as well as the departments of Radiology, Laboratory, Marketing, Physician Recruitment and Medical Staff Services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1.Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, relateddisciplineor clinical discipline

EXPERIENCE:

1. 5 years of hospital departmental/clinic management experience

2. Familiar with registration, billing, reimbursement, collection process, referral/authorization procedures, insurance specific rules and regulations, CPT and ICD-9/10 coding, and clinical processes and procedures.

3. Employee and Physician/Advanced Practice provider relations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)

2. Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, or other regulatory body requirements

2. Experience in physician/hospital relationships and development of collaborative networks between employed providers, system/otherprovidersand additional other healthcare providers.

3. Experience in planning, program development, and marketing as related to physician practices.

1. Oversees daily operations of each physician practice closely managing providers' clinic/surgery schedules to ensure timely and accurate patient access to care.

2. Responsible for management of clinic spaces including, but not limited to ensuring optimizing room utilization, patient safety and capital/equipment improvement and maintenance.Initiates, analysis, develops solutions and leads patient satisfaction, access initiatives and communication for each clinic site.Develops, implements and support strategies for the delivery of quality patient care based on the requirements of the medical service while achieving positive patient relations.

3. Oversees human resource management in all areas of responsibility ensuring proper selection, employment, training discipline, evaluations and pay practices consistent with hospital human resource policies and practices.

4. Oversee managers daily work schedules and ensure high quality operations including patient scheduling, registration, nursing/imaging/laboratory support, documentation,communicationand patient follow up for both clinic and department operations.

5. Promote a positive, professional work environment emphasizing excellent customer service,skillsand associate teamwork in all areas of responsibility.

6. Participates in long-range planning for organization and is responsible for development of goals and objectives for clinics.Directs the establishment of standards of nursing practice and other clinical procedures.Works closely with staff and peers to identify opportunities to improve patient care.Coordinates activities between the clinical services and other clinical units to ensure quality patient care.

7. Oversees the Medical Staff Credentialing process.Ensures the processes and procedures are in place to maintain provider licensing, DEA certification, credentialing and participation in payer contracts and onboarding.Directs the department supervisor and staff in support of initial credentialing processes are adhered to.

8. Oversees the establishment of clinic marketing objectives, plans and strategies, ensuring consistency/alignment with the organization's mission,objectivesand strategic plan.Participates in the marketing efforts and outreach opportunities.

9. Oversees the Physician Recruiter through entire provider recruitment process including identifying candidates, interviewing,hiringand onboarding.

10. Maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations that apply to the clinics and other areas of responsibly; ensure compliance including but not limited to TJC, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations, CAP, CLIA, and any other authorities having jurisdiction.

11. In conjunction with the Director of Finance oversees the clinics comprehensive revenue cycle including scheduling, registration, coding,billingand management of accounts receivable.

12. Understand the operating IT systems that pertain to areas of responsibility; act as a liaison with the IT department and implement proper support/build/training within areas of responsibly.

13. Meet regularly with physicians both on a one-on-one and specialty group basis for the purpose of reviewing performance, settingobjectivesand solving problems.

14 Establish and assist President in the management of a logical and competitive physician compensation system.

15. Meet regularly with direct reports for the purpose of reviewing performance, settingobjectivesand solving problems.

16. Establish positive and professional work environment stressing high technical and behavioral standards along with recognition at a personal level.

17. Working with the administrator and senior team, perform annual planning and strategic growth and development plans for areas of responsibility.

18. Prepare monthly,quarterlyand annual plans, reports and analysis for the President.

19 Oversee the preparation and continuously monitor operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility.

20. Coordinate a quality assurance and improvement program with physician and clinical staff.

21. Achieve high patient satisfaction performance.

22. Serves actively as a member of the hospital's senior leadership team.
