Overview
Orrick is seeking a talented and motivated non-lawyer Technology Specialist who's enthusiastic about technology, science, engineering and law to join our unique multi-disciplinary Intellectual Property (IP) practice in any of our offices. This role will provide sophisticated technical support to our IP lawyers, diving deep into the technology involved in our cases. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in the semiconductor industry, although less experience is required for applicants with advanced technical degrees. Industry experience involving technologies that overlap or are adjacent with the semiconductor technology may also work for this role. Our U.S. Intellectual Property team is primarily based in our Southern California, Bay Area, and East Coast offices, although we are open to a remote position for this role. Responsibilities * Collaborate with legal teams to provide technical insights and analysis for patent cases involving complex technologies, often involving semiconductors and software. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. An advanced degree in a relevant technology or engineering discipline is a plus

Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000, although the salary offered will depend upon an applicant's qualifications and experience. Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
