Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Houston, TX. Interested? Here's what you'd do: To enable pooling potential, plan negotiations, define the awarding strategy, and prepare sourcing board approvals, respecting the suppliers represented by the commodity strategy. Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers or independently. This includes negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms, among other specifics. Manage the relationship with assigned suppliers (in alignment with CM/GCM when applicable). Generates, documents, and implements savings measures; monitors and reports relevant KPIs. Identify procurement risks and opportunities, and implement respective measures. Implement Commodity Strategies and define local/regional material field strategy for non-pooled commodities and Portfolios/PCCs Strategies. Here's what you'll get: Pay: $44.28 / hr. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management. Minimum 10 years of experience in working in a complex, global organizational environment. Minimum 10 years of experience in component manufacturing processes and quality (or Direct Procurement). Minimum 10 years of experience in Excel. Minimum 10 years of experience in working in a matrix environment and managing global supplier relationships. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Fluent in English. Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management competence. Good communication, presentation, and customer management skills. Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
