Your Role:

Are you ready to make a significant impact as a Senior Principal Engineer - Exploratory and Innovation at Vantive Healthcare Corporation? Join us in crafting the future of healthcare technology. In this outstanding opportunity, you will have the chance to contribute to the development of our Acute (CRRT) Therapy products while driving innovation. Apply your proven technical and program management skills to successfully implement expansion strategies within our Acute product portfolio. You will work closely with development teams, both internal and external, as the technical lead on next-generation product lines, particularly within the Intensive Care Unit. Our projects span various areas such as water purification, electromechanical devices, disposables, and solutions, and are approached holistically to ensure detailed solutions that meet verified user needs. This role is that of an individual contributor, working under the general direction of a functional manager and collaborating with a distributed team.

What you will be doing:

  • Apply architectural and design skills while collaborating with senior development engineers to decompose System Requirements into a structured hierarchy of sub-systems and interfaces.
  • Be responsible for overall requirements management and may lead risk management activities, including cybersecurity.
  • Build design concepts and research methodologies that meet current and future customer and business needs for a product or process domain area.
  • Contribute to the program/project or the organization's technical strategy.
  • Demonstrate good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability, and vendor relationships; understand business financials and the resulting impacts that decisions have on the business.
  • Perform as an independent reviewer in technical and design reviews.
  • Be engaged and respected within the team; for example, you may function as LSD or PDO for products or as a subject matter expert on technical problems.
  • Demonstrate understanding of and alignment to FDA, ISO, and IEC design control procedures, regulations, and standards within the area of responsibility/expertise.

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's/Masters degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Controls, Systems, Software, or a related clinical field.
  • Equivalent experience in sciences strongly preferred, including Ph.D. or equivalent experience.
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience as a Research Scientist.
  • 10+ years of industry work experience.
  • Demonstrate good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability, and vendor relationships; have a strong understanding of business financials; think holistically about the business' products.

  • Experience with diagnostic medical devices

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
