VP - Regional Premium Sales

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for creating and executing an overall regional sales plan, strategy and execution tactics; supervising and developing RSM and territory account managers skill sets; supporting the growth and profitability of their accounts through mentoring, coaching and training. Full P&L Financial responsibility as well as warehouse inventory accountability. Maintaining and cultivating relationships with key dealers and decision makers in the designated region. Playing a role as regional brand manager for select brands and categories.

What you will do in this role:

Sales Leadership
  • Establish overall sales objectives by forecasting and developing Annual Business Plans for region; projecting expected sales volume and net earnings for region . Develop and execute field sales action plans to ensure ongoing growth and profitability within the region.
  • Identify and resolve systemic issues related to vendor partners, Almo operations, pricing or other areas for their specific region and seek and propose remedies cooperatively with other pertinent Almo departments to resolve and involve senior leadership as required.
  • Monitor overall inventory levels and various other key metrics to assure appropriate levels of inventory to maximize inventory turns and meet sell out demand.
  • Overall coaching and counseling and development activities within field sales staff. Coordinate with SVP on organizational needs and design.
  • Overall liaison for communications that need to occur between region and HQ and key vendors.
  • Manage expense budgets, especially around travel and entertainment.


Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of industry experience and/or related sales experience including P&L responsibility and field staff management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of being customer-centric, maintaining strong customer relationships and cross collaboration
  • Strong competency in developing appropriately measures and metrics to hold sales team accountable for results
  • Ability to multi-task to meet the needs of various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage short term sales achievement while developing long term strategies
  • Effective critical thinking and decision making skills
