The Financial Analysis Manager - FSI is responsible for the financial and analytical support of the Sargento B2B division, Food Service & Ingredient (FSI). This includes the execution, analysis, tracking, and reporting of various aspects of FSI pricing and profitability. This individual will work collaboratively with FSI leadership, sales & marketing staff, procurement, R&D, manufacturing and customers to provide relevant financial analysis for strategic decision-making efforts.

What You Do.

Pricing Management:



  • Lead quarterly pricing and commodity management process for all FSI items and ensure timely and accurate administration of division pricing strategies for all FSI channels, product lines, end-user accounts, and customer accounts.
  • Support a pricing strategy that aligns and delivers long-term division profit/volume goals; translate strategy into annual tactical plan.
  • Responsible for analytical support of forward-buy program, and partner with sales and accounting teams to ensure alignment with company policy, including program reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain a strategic process to manage RFP's. Develop quotes for items included and provide recommendation on approach based on volumes, margins, and market competitiveness. Partner with sales teams on additional documentation needed to submit RFP's.
  • Continually analyze and report the financial impact of price changes.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for FSI financial/pricing management systems, including future technology upgrades.


Financial Analysis:



  • Responsible for ongoing financial analysis; as appropriate, collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure proper financial analysis of strategic decisions. Proactive analytics that support the overall health of the FSI division
  • Responsible to support all FP&A functions of FSI; Forecasting, Budgeting, Strategic Planning.
  • Manage the analysis and communicate the results of new product launch financial performance vs. original expectations. Serve as a member of the cross functional team bringing new products to market.


Price Quotes:



  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of cost/price related to B2B food markets. Establish and analyze competitive costs and make recommendations to management for internal adjustments.
  • Partner with the costing team to ensure all costs for producing a product are considered, including but not limited to development costs, spoils and disposal, minimum order quantity forecasting, customer charges, inventory considerations, and capacity impact.
  • Support Customer Engagements for the sales leads by providing timely and accurate cost estimates and price quotes, ensuring pricing strategy is followed and takes into consideration division profitability goals.


Other:



  • Support annual budget processes; understand volume implications and plant/raw material adjustments as inputs into recommended customer price adjustments.
  • Provide FP&A representation on FSI CPPM projects through cost & price analysis, identifying risks, and helping implement project launches.
  • Manage sales/customer dispute resolution to resolve pricing discrepancies and customer issues. This includes, but not limited to accruals, volume discounts, freight, etc.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support FSI Financial Analyst; provide appropriate backup to support quarterly pricing activity. FSI strategic analysis duties including forward-buy reconciliations, cost estimates, quarterly projection process.
  • Identify, design, and implement improvements to the cost/pricing process to improve division/customer service levels.


Your Education and Experience.



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university required. Minimum of five years of financial analysis experience required. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
