We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Training Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the continuous improvement and development of our team members by overseeing the design, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing our current training processes, identifying areas for improvement, creating project plans, and leading the execution of training initiatives. This includes developing onboarding programs for new hires, cross-training existing employees, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Essential Functions

  • Evaluate the current training processes by collaborating with department heads and team leads. Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps, areas for improvement, and future training needs across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs and content that address both technical and soft skills, including new hire orientation, role-specific training, and cross-training. Tailor programs to adult learning principles, ensuring they are engaging, practical, and applicable to real-world work environments. Offer flexibility in learning styles by providing a mix of learning options (videos, manuals, checklists, interactive, etc.).
  • Create a detailed project plan for training initiatives, including timelines, resources, and milestones. Lead the execution of these plans, ensuring that training programs are delivered on time, within budget, and effectively improve employee performance.
  • Develop and implement a cross-training strategy to improve workforce flexibility and ensure employees can perform multiple roles within the company, focusing first on manufacturing and production areas. Ensure cross-training programs allow for peer learning and are designed with adult learners in mind to enhance skills retention.
  • Support Human Resources in updating the current onboarding program that ensures new hires are quickly and effectively integrated into the company culture and equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance training programs based on feedback from participants, managers, and other stakeholders. Use formative assessments (e.g., quizzes, surveys, feedback sessions) during and after training to identify opportunities for improvement. Adjust programs as necessary to ensure the highest standards of learning and performance.
  • Work closely with department leaders to understand their teams' unique needs and challenges. Ensure that training aligns with company goals, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices. Facilitate discussions and create learning opportunities that promote peer-to-peer knowledge transfer and collaboration.
  • Facilitation of training programs in a classroom setting, small group, or one on one.
  • Create and maintain a network of trainers within the organization; provide train-the-trainer training to those individuals.
  • Proficiency in managing change within an organization, especially when it comes to new processes, technologies, or training programs. Ability to guide employees through transitions and ensure smooth adoption of new systems or workflows.
  • Track the progress of training programs and measure their impact on employee performance and business outcomes. Provide regular reports to management on training effectiveness, completion rates, and areas for further development. Utilize learner feedback and performance data to assess the impact of training on operational improvements.
  • Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, including safety and quality protocols.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our training programs remain relevant and effective.
