The Specialty Sales Director (Precision Oncology) is a front-line sales leader responsible for execution of the commercial sales strategy for profitable growth in geographic area for Precision Oncology Account Executives (laboratory sales and service representatives).

This is a field-based sales leadership position with regional responsibility.


  • Attaindistrict goals for specialty channelgrowth and attainment.
  • Hire, train, and retain an effective sales team (Precision Oncology Account Executives).
  • Coach, motivateand developsales talent.
  • Establish regional action plans and market strategies.
  • Setmetrics and accountability standards to drive performance towards goals.
  • Manageand measuresales force performance and provide feedback to reps.
  • Incorporates district analytics and market intelligence into plans.
  • Facilitateproblem solving and customer satisfaction.
  • Supportkey account development and collaborate on large deals.
  • Provideinput to regional marketing plans.
  • Ownfunctional strategic initiatives.

  • Achievement of district revenue budget.
  • Execution of sales strategy.
  • Client retention.
  • Price realization.
  • Selling costs to budget.
  • Sales force engagement, retention and development.
  • Business acumen measures.

Required Work Experience:

  • Five years account executive experience in healthcare environment, preferablydiagnostics (oncology/precision medicine) or medical sales.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales processes.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in anatomic pathology, oncology, molecular oncology and dermatopathology, or neurology or cardiology.
  • Prior leadership and/or management experiences.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of reference laboratory business, tests and processes.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, payors and regulations.
  • Understand general economics of B2B business transactions.

Skills:

  • Track record demonstrating strong "closing" skills and revenue growth.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required
