GENERAL FUNCTION
To address the global myopia epidemic, we seek an innovative leader to develop and expand the category for the U.S. market, with a focus on both consumer and professional engagement. This role will be pivotal in ensuring EssilorLuxottica's leadership in combating myopia through innovative solutions and strategic initiatives.
This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on public health through innovation and collaboration in the fight against myopia.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic roadmap for myopia management in the U.S. aligning with the Global Myopia Roadmap
- Drive the growth of the category across wholesale and retail divisions, focusing on awareness, education and engagement of scientific and medical community, professionals, payers, and consumers
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts involving lenses, contact lenses, instruments, and frames to deliver a holistic approach to myopia management
- Follow up FDA developments define alternative strategies with regulatory affairs teams R&D and top management for advocacy engagement
- Identify growth opportunities prioritize resource allocation to achieve annual revenue targets while preparing for long-term category expansion
- Define GTM strategy and portfolio approach for doctors and consumers including Medical fee / product price positioning
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs Medical Marketing Professional Relations Education teams to influence KOLs
- Strengthen our myopia science narrative define protocols of myopia management
- Collaborate with Leonardo and Medical teams to lead professional training and certification programs for Doctors and Ophthalmologists, enhancing expertise in myopia management
- Develop and execute B2C campaigns to raise awareness about myopia and its management focusing on parents and caregivers
- Create an engaging in-store experience for children and families to promote myopia solutions
- Partner with supply chain R&D teams to ensure efficient product launches and category performance
- Oversee performance tracking sales analysis for continuous improvement
- Defines market access strategy: private pay versus reimbursement level expected from managed vision care strategy as well as general medical system
- Coordinates with MVC the implementation of the strategy for Doctors fee
- Internal Influence: Global Myopia Organization,U.S. Leadership Team,Marketing Directors,Training Teams,R&D,Operations,R&D,Medical affairs
- External influence: Eye care professionals, professional associations,regulatory bodies, and consumer advocacy groups
- Participate in monthly U.S. marketing & regional business alignment meetings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years in B2B or B2C marketing, product launches focus on vision, medical or pharma industries
- Demonstrated success in developing Go-To-Market strategies for innovative medical solutions
- Proven expertise in managing brand and product innovations in a medical or healthcare context
- Experience working in matrix organizations and influencing diverse teams
- Strategic and analytical thinking to conceptualize and implement value-creation initiatives
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to influence stakeholders and build credibility
- Agile and proactive approach to navigate complex and dynamic environments
- Proficiency in marketing mix elements: pricing, promotion, distribution, product positioning
- Market access / MVC experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in myopia management
- Bi-lingual with English & Italian or French
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
