We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering, Commerce Cloud Agentforce to lead our Commerce Cloud Agentforce team and deliver cutting-edge AI-powered features and products on our e-commerce platform. This leader will leverage advanced AI methods - including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agent frameworks - to build transformative commerce experiences that delight customers and drive business value. What You Will Be Doing
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 35-40 individuals, including 2-3 engineering managers, ensuring alignment, performance, and team cohesion.

  • Team Building & Talent Growth: Recruit, mentor, and retain top mobile engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.

  • AI-Driven Commerce Strategy: Define and own the technical vision for AI-powered ecommerce products in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Innovative Product Delivery: Oversee design, development, and on-time delivery of impactful mobile features, balancing rapid iteration with long-term investments.

  • Operational & Technical Excellence: Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability through best practices, monitoring, and hands-on technical guidance.

  • Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive collaboration across teams, translating technical goals for leadership and influencing long-term AI investments.

Required Skills
  • 5+ Years in Engineering Leadership: Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, managing teams and driving complex technical initiatives.

  • Commerce Leadership: Substantial experience leading B2C/B2B Commerce engineering teams, shipping high-quality products under rapid development cycles.

  • 1+ years of experience with AI Integration (Preferred): Familiarity with integrating AI capabilities - e.g., on-device machine learning or cloud-based inference - into mobile products. Experience building and deploying AI-powered applications, with a focus on applying AI models to solve real-world user and business problems.

  • Foundational AI Knowledge (Preferred): Exposure to modern AI/ML techniques, especially Large Language Models, RAG workflows, or agent-based systems, with a track record of evaluating new technologies for mobile use.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with proven leadership experience in Software Engineering.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,800 to $369,200. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
